week 81: 21 de Octubre

So three of you have written me, so I guess I´ll just write the big email first and then hope you all respond. Today is a stinker. I have changes, and I really really really don´t want to leave yet. I only have two changes here in my area, but oh well. I was thinking this week that I would write about my investigators to you guys so you could get a fill in on my real life, but I won´t even be visiting them anymore, haha. I´ll do it anyway.

Ruth and Alex (18 and 14) They are a brother sister that just moved to our area to study. They moved in with their cousins, the Nuñez family who are members in our ward. They have baptismal dates (that I won´t be attending.) Attendance: 2

Larry and Alexandra (17 and 40?) They are from Northern Honduras, Alexandra is studying in the U and Larry is in High School. Sometimes we teach the rest of the family (3 other siblings) But usually just those two receive us. Attendance: 1

Esther (27) She is studying in the University. She promised a friend from Germany she would try going to church for a whole year to see if she could find meaning in life blah blah blah. Attendance: 4

Maria Estefany (20) She is studying in the University, she is from Danli and goes back every other weekend to visit. Baptismal date for the 18th, won´t be there, Attendance: 2

Amy (21) She had a baptismal date, isn´t that positive. Her parents are inactive members, but her dad came once while I have been here. Attendance: 0

There are some others like Marcela and Cesia (don´t know how to spell her name), but just aren´t that positive. So yeah. It´s been going well here. I have changes to an area called the 21 de Octubre. It´s actually part of my old district when I was in the Reparto but when I was the DL there, it was the area of the AP´s and well haha now it´s not, but I actually already know it. I´m not too excited to go, and to be honest I´m not too happy about my new companions either (Trio) but oh well. ¨A donde me mandes iré.¨

Love you guys.

week 80: Skirt Off!

It's been a really busy and fast week. I have no idea what to talk about.

I almost got hit by a car in the street on Saturday going to eat lunch.

I also had to carry a nasty toilet a couple blocks to do service for a member. Service is aight but that toilet was NASTY.

I can't remember if I mentioned this but I have hot water. If I've mentioned it before I´m sorry, but it's just the greatest blessing of my recent life.

The sister missionaries in my group are going home next week, which is super weird.

We have two really positive new investigators. WELL One really positive and the other more or less, they're siblings. They just moved here to the Kennedy to live with a family of members. In this house there are a TON of members and ex missionaries. SO THINGS ARE LOOKING PRETTY GUD.

I´m still teaching English in my apartment complex in the entrance of the building. It goes pretty well and well, I know for sure that I don´t ever want to be a teacher.

Love you guys :-)

week 79 Valentine's Day

So this week has been pretty great. Can´t remember if I mentioned Maria last week but she is our new investigator with a baptismal date for March. She is super cool, and positive. This week only she and Esther showed up to church.

I was almost afraid that I was drugged the other day as one of the ladies in our apartment complex gave me a scones and a super weird drink that tasted super weird and thick. (it was like egg nog or like the mix to make flan) but it wasn´t good and she´s kinda creepy, but I never felt weird and afterward she didn´t want to tell me what the drink was so whatever, probably just not going to ever trust her and drinks again, but the scones were killer.

This happened because she attends my english class I give btw everyday.

Also played Bankopoly today which is Monopoly but with a couple of changes and with locations from guatemala. ´Twas fun.

I really don´t know what to write sorry, this week flew by cause we were so busy. We had interviews this Wednesday which went super well. But anyway. Love you guys gotta go.

week 78 Gloria a Dios

This week we found a new family, they are from the Mosquitia, which is in the north of Honduras. Look it up, it´s cool. They are 5 in total and super cool. We also have a new investigator named Alcides. He is about 55, and is super funny. On Sunday I was teaching the gospel principles class on Agency, and was talking about how it´s necessary that there is an opposition in all things, and that sometimes we wake up on Sunday and we just don´t wanna go to church, and that maybe laziness is our opposition, and he used a PERFECT EXAMPLE.

He told us that a few weeks ago he wanted to go to church, but on the way there somebody yelled at him telling him his pants were ripped in the back part of the butt and everyone could clearly see his underwear. He related ripped pants as his opposition, but pointed his finger toward heaven and said, ¨Glory to God, I´m going to church.¨ I died laughing in front of the entire class.

My comp and I and then the Zone.
