week 37 Callate vos

To all my fans, friends and family who have given me their complaints about mine eating of iguanas, I want you all to know that this Pday I turned down the opportunity to go iguana and garrobo hunting.

I am currently using a computer from the Land Before Time, so I am going to be brief, because this computer is making me super impatient and it isn´t loading any of the photos.
This week was actually pretty cool in that I got to baptize and confirm Luis, and I got to eat a ton of clams, crabs, and fish.

This week we will have a conference for all the missionaries here in the Southern region of Honduras, for that I am excited.

I woke up the other week with a weird rash on my chest, and now it´s all over my body in patches, the mission sent me a cream and I am pretty sure it is going away so that si good.
I love you all and I am sorry for being lame, but I can´t write any more.

Love,
Elder Anderson

week 36 JUE!

Every time I arrive at a computer I always read your emails first. I always read through the list and smile and laugh... and then I have to go back through and reply... and then I have to write the big email.

I am not sure if you guys know how hard it is to write a big email for the week. The weeks and days are kind of a blur when you look back and I´m pretty sure I tell the same stories more than once... Anyway.

This week a bunch of investigators exercised their agency... and stopped listening to us. And Pedro is fading out too which kills me cause Pedro was number 1, but he keeps going on fishing trips forever and so we never see  him now. I hate fish.

The fish is still super good though. Turns out clam is decent raw. If you take a clam, crack is open, put in a little bit of lemon and chile it tastes really good. Just try it sometime, you can find them pretty easily.

I broke up an argument in branch presidencies council this week, and felt like a super hero. I also went to the birthday of the daughter of a menos activa. She turned 4, and we ate cake and it was good, and celebrated.

Today Luis (Chiki) I don´t remember how I refer to him to you guys. He is my investigator that gets baptized this week. He has a birthday today too, so we are going to celebrate that as well...

Perlita is from another less active family that turns 13? on the 20th so also going to that birthday party...

And the funny thing is that they are ALL NEXT DOOR NEIGHBORS.

Speaking of Birthdays... in 2 months it´s mine. Just heads up.

Tomorrow I complete 8 months. I think, I am not sure. I enterred the mission field August 19th, do the math, I have already forgotten how math works.

Not true, I actually help a lot of people with math here.

Skype on Mother´s Day coming up too btw.

By now you have probably noted that I have used many enter spaces to make this email look long. Now look. I am sorry, I will make sure to write something great next week. I love you guys Check out these pics.

Love,

Elder Anderson

week 35 investigator magnet Pedro

Looooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggg wwwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

To make up for the long week and all the rice, beans, tortillas, fish and eggs, I am going to buy a cheesy crust pizza today. First time in Cholu for Pday in FOREVER.
But actually bananas are way better here, and super good fried. Same with beans.

One night this week I went to Pedro´s house to teach a lesson. I get to his house and start, and within a few minutes some of his cousins show up, and then his siblings and parents, and then some friends, and then eventually all of the neighbors. It was a super cool experience to share the Restoration with a bunch of people who actually listened and had questions and everything. After I bore my testimony in the end and finished saying ´´amen...```...They started clapping, all of them, I felt like an Evangelical, it was suuuuuuuuuuuuuper awkward, and super funny. But it`s cool. I just hope it doesn`t happen again.

This week, my crazy story, is that I was walking down a long road out by the beach to an appointment with some members. I passed a woman I know who recently moved back to Guapinol and had a baby, we helped her carry all of her firewood back to her house, then we started back down the road. Almost getting to our appointment, we passed by an older lady also carrying firewood home. I carried her firewood to her house, and she told me that she was a member who hadn`t attended church for many years, as well as her whole family. We set an appointment with her and continued on our way to the appointment, In the instant that we got there, the wife of the house had a stroke. We gave her a blessing, and since Guapinol is super poor, I paid for the car to take her to the nearest village with medical help called Monjaras. It was crazy that through all that we did, we arrived right on time.
I miss you and love you all, hope you all have a great week!

week 34 Tender Mercies of the Lord

This week was good!
We came back to our area after last Pday, and all the members began offering us food. We now have a scheduled lunch everyday. I am ecstatic. The typical lunch here, is beans, rice, tortillas, chicken, and fried bananas. However here in Guapinol, it does vary, sometimes replacing the chicken with fish or shrimp.
Also! A youth named Jerson, just received his mission call to Mexico Merida, and he leaves with us everyday. He is the bomb and probably the best missionary I have ever met (Not an exaggeration.) And he isn`t even a missionary yet.
This week I ninja caught a garrobo (iguana) just by sneaking up behind it and grabbing it by the tail. It ALMOST bit me, but luckily I caught it`s neck, showed it to a bunch of kids, and let it go.
My comp decided to kill the bees in our backyard with fire. Good.
The hive was in a tree and he started a big fire in our backyard. Bad.
Pedro, a youth of 16 years old is the nephew of Joel and Mariana, after accompanying us several times in the lessons, he has decided to get baptized the 23rd of this month!
CONFERENCE CONFERENCE CONFERENCE
was really good, if you didn`t see it, luckily you don`t have to wait for it to come out on dvd. Go watch it online.
Love you all, you`re all super rad.
Especially you.
