week 46 Pls Help Sucky Computer

Sooo... While I am waiting for the missionary page to load and everything so I can sub the dats and write the president, I figured I would just write out my weekly email.

These computers are KILLER. As in I swear I am dying, waiting here for everything to load.

This week new hermanas came in, that is cool and everything, but they took out almost all of the elders. We are now 8 elders and 10 hermanas... I don´t wanna say anything too bad about the hermanas, BUT they are pday killers.

So I did say something bad about the hermanas, that actually happened to me on Saturday. I was with one of my families I teach, and the grandma who is super catholic walks in and says, ¨I am not going to criticize your church, but...¨ and then she went on a TEN MINUTE rant about the catholic church being the only church, and that mormons are a sect and kept going on until Zaida, the wife, told her mom to leave.

My son, Elder Samayoa cooked me eggs and sausage for breakfast while I was in the shower... high point of my week, the guy is the sickest companion.

Also we moved houses. I now live in a gated residential community with PISTO. I basically live in one of the nicest houses now. I can´t complain.

There are two new sisters in our ward. They are hermana Posso and hermana Nuñez. The way they divided the ward made me lose pretty much 70% of my investigators and almost all of the positive ones. BUT it´s chill. I ain´t mad.

There is a less active family we teach, and they always give us dinner at 5 on Sundays, and this next week they are making lasagna, so... will update you all on that.

The charger to the camera battery is pretty much impossible to use for more than 30 seconds, so I am still charging the camera.

Love you all,

Elder Anderson.

Week 45 Elder Anderson, you are inspired

WELL WELL WELL.

Another week has passed (or past? English) in my life, and in all the lives of you guys. This week has been somewhat... -insert that word that means that a lot of new things happened this week.

To start it off from my last Monday, I still was feeling pretty sick after I got off the computer, and decided to head home. I got home and called the mission nurse to let her know what was up. She had me go take a sample in a lab the next day, and it came back positive for H. Pylori, the H stands for ´´How to feel more stomach pain in your whole darn life.´´ but that is pretty long, so they just say H. Pylori.

They gave me about a thousand and a half pills, (just approximately) that I have to take for the next month. It isn´t what I call fun, and the pills aren´t even candy flavored, but after a while you do get to like the taste of pepto bismol.

In other news, this Wednesday we had Interviews with the Mission President, I, again and like always, was the last one to be interviewed, (Just lucky like that.) We just talked about my dats, and my kid and the area a little bit, nothing crazy, I have gone a solid 10 months without any complains from the mission president and without getting scolded for anything, so that`s solid. Obedience saves lives. In the end of the interview I asked a quick question about my area, and if he was thinking about putting sister missionaries here again, he looked at me and told me, ´´Elder Anderson, you are inspired, I have been looking for a place to put two hermanas.`` I then told him to put the hermanas on the safer side of my area, the side with money $$$. And so now they are moving me out to the ghettos... but my house is cute and in a gated community, so that is cool. I have to pay the light and water bill though, which isn´t.

This Saturday was a pretty big day I guess, I still suffering from stomach pain decided to go to Pizza Hut to celebrate my bday. It was a mistake and I couldn`t sleep all night, but it was worth it. I got to catch a glimpse (as in a solid majority) of the Chile Mexico game. It wasn`t really fun to watch because... Well, Mexicans can handle spicy food and peppers, but they just can´t handle Chile.

Sunday I hit double digits in the mission, a solid 10 months. Cool stuff.

This week are changes, I already know I am staying, and that the hermanas are coming and I am going to have to give them all my positive investigators and families, but... what can you do. I can´t find the cable to send voice messages, haha, but I did record something, I`ll send it when I can figure out how technology works.

Love you all, and please subscribe in the bottom left hand corner if you want to see more. Deuces.

Week 44 Elder Samayoa's First Baptism

So...

A lot of our baptisms have fallen lately, BUT.

We just had a baptism on Saturday. Remember that woman Elder Valladares and I found and she began crying when we found out her mom died? Yeah, we baptized her daughter. Everything worked out great, and I had Elder Samayoa do the ordinance. HIS FIRST BAPTISM. I am proud of my son. He`s the sickest companion.

On Friday I did divisions with my district leader, Elder Garry. We spat fire. In the night, Elder Martinez (his companion), Elder Samayoa, Elder Garry and I all met up in the mercado to buy some food to make dinner (so Elder Samayoa could cook us dinner). We ran into a million girls from America, on service missions, there were all from Saint Louis, where Elder Garry is from, and it was kind of cool talking in English for a bit. When we got back, Elder Garry and I started playing cards while Elder Martinez wrote in his diary and Elder Samayoa cooked. About 20 minutes after we got back, the ground started shaking. I thought it was something going on in the apartment downstairs, Elder Garry thought I was shaking the the couch with my leg, Elder Samayoa just shrugged it off, and Elder Martinez goes sprinting out the door in his garments (underwear.) When we didn`t follow he came running back, ¨VAMONOS VAMONOS.¨ We calmed him down, and told him it was nothing. Then our Zone Leaders called us right afterward asking is we were OK. TURNS OUT. It really was an Earthquake. But it was super weak.

This Sunday, a young man received the priesthood. He came up to me afterward, shook my hand and we talked, and he said he wanted to serve a mission. Just as I was leaving the church with Elder Samayoa and Hermano Luis Luque, that same young man got hit by a car, crossing the road. Immediately we got him in a car with his dad for the hospital. He was messed up pretty bad, just keep him in your prayers.

Love you all, be safe, have a great week.

Week 43 Headaches

Today, I played a ton of soccer and now I am tired and have a headache, so I`ll be brief.

This week I met a lot of cool people, but nothing really spectacular stood out. Our members have been really helpful lately, giving us references and coming to teach with us. Overall it`s been a pretty solid week, but I have lost a ton of investigators. But it`s chill, cause we find new ones, just as often as we lose em.

The other day while knocking on doors, a 18 year old let us in and he was watching the new Star Wars. I saw a solid 3 minutes, and it seems pretty cool.

I played pretty well in soccer today, and repped my Argentina jersey for the game tonight...

Weeeellll... that`s about it. My super dope, totally rad cool sister, Eryn who faithfully writes me and sends me funny pics and stuff sent me a voice recorder... well I think it was from her, and I think it works... so if you wanna hear my voice or something like that, lemme know.

Here`s some pics, buen provecho.

PS. mas fotos here are some from Guapinol and one from a pizza place today. also my house is blue.
